How do you FACE it? I thought I would never be able to use my chair other than on flat surfaces.
How do you EMBRACE it? I started learning that there are options available that I can learn to use if I just had the right equipment and funding. I don’t want to let the fact that I have a disability hold me back.
How do you DEFY it? Being a one arm wheelchair user, I defy challenges everyday. Having this piece of equipment will help me get through trails that I’d never be able to conquer on my own without assistance.
How do you CONQUER it? I’ve learned to adapt to my situation so with this piece of equipment I will have more confidence in pushing wherever I travel.
What does this scholarship from VVF mean to you? It has given me the freedom to be more independent with my service dog and explore this beautiful world in areas that I would never be able to without the RGK.
