“Living with a disability makes life 100 times harder, and unfortunately the type of help we need is difficult to get if you don’t have financial or family support. Victoria’s Victory Foundation gave me access to services that heal my body and my mind.“
When Kim was 23, she was a passenger in a horrific car accident that resulted in her becoming paralyzed from the chest down. Immediately following the accident, Kim spent two weeks in a coma, two and a half months in the ICU and had six spinal surgeries.
Kim has been attending activity based training sessions at NeuroFit360 and she is working hard to defy the odds and learn to walk again. Her other goals include going back to school, learning to drive again and traveling independently.
A Victory Scholarship has allowed Kim to increase the number of sessions so is attending on a consistent basis, so she can keep working towards accomplishing her goals and improving her quality of life.
