Three summers ago, my sister got into a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. The nursing facility where she is staying was putting her in a borrowed drive medical chair, which was keeping her extremely isolated and stuck. Because of this, she had no way to get to OT/PT sessions and it caused her to fall into a deep depression. She is 52 years old. We needed to find a way to get her a customized wheelchair so she could attend training sessions and work on her recovery. We kept getting denied by insurance and we found there are very few organizations out there that help with traumatic brain injuries!

Finding out about Victoria’s Victory Foundation and then being approved for a scholarship for a customized wheelchair was a complete answer to our prayers. VVF allowed my sister to be mobile again and for that we will be forever grateful!
