Charlene was in a car accident in 1989 that left her with a C6/7 Spinal Cord Injury. For years, Charlene held onto hope that she would find a place that would give her the opportunity to regain some mobility, increase her strength and improve her overall health.

A few months ago, Charlene learned about Project Walk New Jersey and knew this was a place she needed to attend. However, once she found out the sessions are not covered by insurance, she wasn’t sure how she would be able to make it work.

Charlene was awarded a scholarship in June 2023 so that she could start working towards reaching her goals.

“This scholarship will allow me to be able to continue attending these sessions without taking on a huge debt or having to stop and miss out on the benefits of these intensive therapies.”
