After a devastating motorcycle accident in April 2023, Michael faced life with a complete T-11 spinal cord injury. Despite the challenges of his burst fracture, Michael remained determined to preserve as much of his pre-injury life as possible.

The Journey Forward scholarship has been transformative for Michael. "This scholarship has been a financial blessing that allowed me to focus on the therapy itself as opposed to the cost," Michael shares.

Through activity-based training sessions at Journey Forward, Michael works to maintain his health, continue his career path, and enjoy his previous hobbies.

At the moment conventional medicine is unable to do much for those of us afflicted by SCIs, particularly a complete SCI.
