What are you Facing, Embracing, Defying and Conquering? I’m facing my new life as a wheelchair user by embracing adaptive sports and conquering my athletic abilities.

How do you FACE it? I face my paralysis by living life to the fullest.

How do you EMBRACE it? I embrace it by being involved in the disability community and also by being involved in adaptive sports.

How do you DEFY it? I defy it by continuing to be involved in sports despite my physical limitations.

How do you CONQUER it? I conquer it by pushing my body to its limits.

What does this scholarship from VVF mean to you? It means I’ll be able to get back into sports and push myself to my full athletic abilities with a handcycle.
