While in labor with her second son, complications led to the discovery of an intradural tumor compressing on the T1-T2 section of her spine.
While they were able to successfully remove the tumor, since that day, her mobility has been severely impacted.
A driven and determined mother, Justyna began training at Project Walk New Jersey and found she was seeing great results. A Victory Scholarship allowed her to continue her recovery journey providing training hours she needed so she could be there for her two sons and get back to her career as a dental hygienist. She turned to Victoria’s Victory Foundation after exhausting funds on modifications to her home and vehicle, and on all of the other related expenses that incur with mobility disabilities. Her goal is to keep working hard for a full recovery so that she can go back to being “Super Mom”.
“Within a single second, my life went from being a very active mom and healthcare professional to being confined in a wheelchair. The Victory Scholarship is an eternal blessing to me and so important to the future of my little family – mommy will be back soon. This is the light at the end of my journey and this scholarship will be the push over the finish line!”
