Johannah is an eight year old living with Spina Bifida who enjoys painting and baking with her mom. Her parents dedicate themselves to ensuring she has everything necessary for the best possible quality of life. One crucial aspect of Johannah’s daily routine involves getting out of her wheelchair, but this has become increasingly challenging as she grows. Johannah needed a stander that would allow her to passively stand for extended periods of time. Not only is this good for her mental well-being, but it is incredibly important for her physical health as it helps with digestion, bone density and endurance.
Earlier this year, Johannah was awarded a scholarship for a stander through the Victory Scholarship Program! Her parents shared the significant impact that this has had on all of their lives as it allows Johannah to participate in more activities with her peers.
“Thank you so much for providing equipment that helps her gain strength and independence!”
