At the age of two, Jaime was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Throughout her life, Jaime has had 35 surgeries to treat the symptoms of living with Cerebral Palsy. Jaime uses assistive devices to walk and a wheelchair for longer distances.
Several years ago, Jaime discovered Project Walk New Jersey and started attending training sessions there in order to maintain and improve her health.
“Aging with a congenital disability is difficult and I have lost mobility as I have aged.”
However because of changes to her work schedule due to Medicaid regulations, Jaime has not been able to consistently attend training sessions anymore.
With the support of our community of donors, VVF was able to award Jaime a scholarship to resume her training sessions at Project Walk New Jersey.
“This means so much to me. It means improved health and independence. Thank you for helping me maintain my mobility!”
