In 2014, Dung was hit by a car as a pedestrian. He suffered a C1-C2 fracture along with a variety of other injuries, including a closed head injury. Today, Dung lives life as a quadriplegic. However, he does not let his injury stop him from living a life filled with positivity as he continues his recovery journey and working towards his goal of walking again one day!
Before his injury, Dung was a physical therapist and understands the importance of consistent training. Once he found NeuAbility, an activity based training facility, he saw significant progress in his recovery. Unfortunately, these session are not covered by insurance and this continues to be an expense he has to pay out of pocket year after year. A Victory Scholarship has allowed Dung to stay consistent in his recovery journey and continue attending his training sessions.
“The Victory Scholarship will continue to drive my relentless pursuit of gaining monumental strides in my recovery process. My beacon is based on perseverance without pause and failure, which leads to mental and physical success.”
