What are you Facing, Embracing, Defying and Conquering? I live my life in a wheelchair and take care of my 3 horses independently. I show two of the horses. Often when I am at horse shows I find it difficult to get around the grounds without assistance, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when I had to limit the number of people I was around.
How do you FACE it? I face most everything with a smile on my face.
How do you EMBRACE it? I have a love of challenges and competitions and I embrace the work it takes to meet these goals.
How do you DEFY it? The word “Can't” is not in my vocabulary, I just figure out a different way.
How do you CONQUER it? Hard work , dedication and a thirst for competition, helps me conquer my goals.
What does this scholarship from VVF mean to you? The scholarship has enabled me to navigate the rough ground at equestrian facilities; while I have a ton of concrete walkways at home, when I'm out and about gopher holes are my nemesis . The scholarship helped me acquire Access Trax to help me get around!!!
