When Bryson was three months old, he contracted RSV and had an extremely difficult time breathing. Due to the problems this caused, Bryson has since been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
Today, Bryson is 7 and his parents have worked endlessly to find ways to best support him as he continues to grow. They especially want to find ways to increase his mobility, so Bryson can participate in activities his peers do, such as playing at the park or being a part of a sports team.
A Victory Scholarship allowed Bryson and his parents to attend a reflex integration therapy training. This was not only an intensive training for Bryson, but it also allowed his parents to be educated and trained on ways they can further support his recovery efforts on a daily basis at home.
“This scholarship means that someone cares that this is a tough journey and they are willing to walk along side of us. It means we have the opportunity to see our dream come true of Bryson gaining more mobility.”
