What are you Facing, Embracing, Defying and Conquering? I have been given a second chance at life. I am a different person than I was before, but my life will be greater than I could have ever imagined it to be.

How do you FACE it? With Bravery and Courage, knowing that the journey ahead will be tough and frustrating, but with perseverance I’ll push through.

How do you EMBRACE it? My body has changed and so have I. I am thankful for the opportunities I’ve had and look forward to the person I’m becoming.

How do you DEFY it? No matter the obstacles and challenges ahead, I continue to give 100% into anything laid in front of me.

How do you CONQUER it? I look back at what challenges I’ve overcome with a sense of humbleness and pride. Proud of what I’ve accomplished and motivated to complete more in my life.

What does this scholarship from VVF mean to you? It’s a second chance. Things from my past life will never be the same going forward, but this is one step closer to the life I once had.
