In 2018, Ashley had just moved to California. She was a passenger in a car that ended up crashing, causing a c/6 spinal cord injury and leaving Ashely a quadriplegic. Through both her in-patient and out-patient rehab, Ashely worked hard to gain back her independence, piece by piece.

When she was released from the hospital, she moved back home to New Mexico. For the first few years following her accident, Ashley struggled to find a facility that would provide her with the training she was looking for. She eventually discovered React and started attending activity based training sessions there.

A Victory Scholarship allowed Ashley to continue her training and work towards her goal of walking again.
